We are on image: 7_5.
Select: Pan Tool.
Open a New Vector Layer. Name it : foliage. OK.
With PEN tool: Draw Freehand. Tracking : 20.
In Background, click in the window, choose: Gradient.
Click in the gradient window.
Select the gradient 7hill.
(that we saved in a preceding lesson)
Change Angle: 80, Repeats: 0, Style: Linear. OK.
This lesson is strategic! Be patient.
Click with the cursor, while holding the click down.
Slide the cursor drawing an irregular form.
Release the click after having completed the contour.
Modify your nodes if it is necessary.
When finished:
Right click on layer : foliage.
Convert to Raster Layer.
It is a base to make the foliage.
Open a new vector layer. Name it : fo. OK.
In background: Color: choose a dark green. OK.
With: Draw Freehand. Tracking: 20.
Make an irregular form by
completing the contour.
When finished:
With PSP X : Apply.
All Versions: Selection > Select None.
In the video:
I use various colors of green, by using Free hand, Tracking: 20.
Once completing the contour, I use: Apply and start another form.
When finished:
While clicking on + on layer : fo, we have several under layers.
We can move them by sliding , modify them and also remove some.
Example: Right click on a layer: Clear.
When finished:
Right click on layer : fo. Convert to Raster Layer.
Here we could (question of choice) lower the opacity
of layer: fo to give
a softer effect.
Right click on the layer : fo. Merge, Merge Down.
Right click on layer: foliage. Merge Down.
The tree is complete on one layer.
There are seven Raster layers.
Window: Duplicate the image.
Save image: 7_5.
Close image: 7_5.
Select Pan Tool.
